Play has been at the heart of LASW since the beginning
LA Sports World is a mobile, full-service sports and activity company that helps children build confidence through play while making programs easier for families and organizations to bring to life.
Founded in Los Angeles in 2012
Where LASW began
A few kids in a park became something much bigger
LA Sports World began in 2012, when founder David Ouaknine started coaching a small group of children in a Los Angeles park. The idea was simple: use sports and play to help kids move, learn, connect, and become more confident.
The company grew through families and communities that wanted more of those experiences. Over time, LASW expanded beyond coaching into pods and groups, parties and private events, classes and camps, and programs for schools, businesses, synagogues, nonprofits, and community organizations.
In 2026, Eitan Jalali and Adina Mashiach partnered with David to carry LASW forward. The company continues to build on the same purpose today: creating well-run opportunities for children to build confidence through play.
